GM LS7 Engine Used In Camaro Z28

The LS7 is deemed to be one of the most powerful production engines that was ever made by General Motors, not to mention it is one of the most powerful naturally aspirated V-8s that was created by any manufacturer. This motor is incredibly fancy, which is exactly why GM enthusiasts have been excited since its introduction. GM Performance Parts hoped to prey on these very desires by placing one of its fully assembled, handbuilt LS7s into a 1999 Camaro Z28 for the purpose of showing just how easy it could be.

1967 Camaro

In the year 1966 in the month of December, Chevrolet quietly released one of their most famous option codes of all time, the RPO Z-28. It was unpublicized and unknown by most of the public. One of the only ways that someone was able to order the Z-28 package was to first order a base Camaro with the Z-28 option, mandatory front disc brakes with power assist, and the Muncie 4-speed transmission.
