Looks like the Camaro is still holding on out there, after a popularity boost from the hit movie Transformers where the latest model Camaro was a leading co star. In this event the Camaro is on top. Nearly twice as much as last year, fifty cars competed in this year’s Bedford Parks Department’s 2nd annual Classic Car Show. A 1967 red Camaro owned by Carey Deckard took both Best Chevy and Best of Show.

Now this was not an all Camaro event. Other excellent classic cars and awards were:

Best of Ford was won by a 1960 Thunderbird owned by Gary Dorsett ahead of a 1951 pickup owned by Terry Wright. Best Mo-Par was won by a 1930 Coupe owned by Dan Robbins ahead of a 1935 Deluxe Business Coupe owned by Harrison Collins. Best Street Rod was won by a 1946 truck owned by Harry Duncan ahead of a 1937 sedan owned by McKenna and Scott Brock. Best Non-Big Three was won by a 1964 Volkswagen Beetle owned by Tom Hardwick ahead of a 1948 Studebacker owned by Gerry Taylor. Best Chevy Tri-Five was won by a 1955 wagon owned by Rusty Rozelle ahead of a 1967 Bel-Air owned by Joe True.
